Today’s Post is going to be about the essential things that you need to pack before moving to Canada .There are like a dozen videos out on YouTube but honestly guys I wasn’t able to find a good video that gave out all the necessary information about what needs to be packed and what can be left out.
I’ve been here in Canada for a while guys for close to a year and I think I have a fair knowledge about the things that are expensive in Canada which could be affordable in your home country but you failed to pack them thinking you could buy it here I did this mistake guys because I didn’t know which is expensive and a must-have. Item that needs to be packed instead I ended up packing all other items that could be easily bought at a dollar store just so you know guys dollar store is a place where you get most of the items at less than four dollars.
So what’s the agenda in today’s article I’m going to keep this post brief but comprehensive so there are just Two Agendas in today’s post so the First agenda of today’s post is essential things that you need to get we’ll be touching base on the personal hygiene then electronics etc. what I’ve done here is I have classified these items based on the basic requirements so that it’s kept simple and easy for you to understand.

Document should carry before travel to Canada , Urgent travel document Canada?
let’s discuss about the first category which is documents I’m assuming that you guys will be packing all the important documents like your flight tickets passport ITA documents if you are coming as a PR, Academic mark sheets and your proof of funds apart from these important documents few other important documents that you should be including are the driving license, Resume , SOP , GIC Certificate , Tuition fee receipt of college/University , Property evaluation documents , White background image which you did use during applying visa , Study permit approval letter , College offer letter , etc.

Let’s move on to our next category which is clothing, What should I Pack in clothe item for Canada travel?
Guys, I highly recommend you not to buy any new clothes because clothes are affordable here most of the time there’s going to be sale in the store where you can get your clothes at a much cheaper price. To summarize, under this category of clothing, you should only bring clothes that you look fabulous in and which you don’t want to leave behind, and I’m assuming you are not planning to purchase clothes for the first three months, so get only the basics you will need.
In addition to that, ensure that you keep your formal wear in case your interview demands and a pair of traditional dresses as well. Make sure you have two pairs of thermals and you should also have a basic jacket. This will ensure that you don’t get cold right after landing in the airport. Please keep this jacket for emergency situations. I recommend that you buy your winter jackets in Canada because you will find jackets that are suitable for Canadian weather. Next next in the list is to buy two bed sheets and pillowcases because bed shades and lingerie are expensive in Canada.
Make sure you include a couple of them next on the list is footwear. As long as you keep a formal shoe, a runner and a home shoe, I think three pairs should suffice here. This is because it’s affordable and you can buy it at places such as Winners’ Marshals, etc. Next on the list is spectacles and lenses. Keep a pair of spectacles and lenses as well because they are also expensive here so guys this was a brief list in the clothing section.
Can I carry medicines on international flights, list of banned medicines in Canada , how much medicine can i take on a plane , List of Medicine which should I carry while travelling to Canada, What medicine should I bring to travel?
Medicine list for travel to Canada?
Now let’s move on to our next category, medicine, which I think is super important. I’m someone who pops a pill if I have a fever or headache, so if you’re like me, I’d suggest keeping your medicine along with your prescription. It’s also a great idea to keep your masks and sanitizer in case you’re traveling at this time.
Food for Canada packing checklist , What can I bring into Canada in terms of food? Do I need to declare food at Canada Customs? Canada Customs restricted food items, What to pack when moving to Canada in food item?
Food Item Checklist for Canada Packing?
Let’s move on to our next category.
Which is food to help yourself for the initial few days make sure you get some raw materials with you like a bit of pulses bit of rice etc. so I’m telling you this because it will take some time for you to get to know your locality or the stores that are present near you so if you get a bit of everything it wouldn’t be a problem at least for the initial few days not to forget guys get your spices along with you because the spices that you get here are a bit mellow in flavor and also if you’re a tea lover like me then i would say please pack it along with you because tea is slightly expensive here.
It is helpful to have your ready to eat packets after landing in Canada and if you have a craving for Indian or Pakistani food at some point these ready to eat packets will be helpful. Be sure to add your magi packets as well. Now that we have talked about food, make sure your food items are double packed to prevent spills.

Best Utensil List for Canada Packing?
Let’s move onto our next category, utensils. You only need basic cutlery like two spoons forks knives, bowls, glasses, plates and the sieve as well as a rolling board and a rolling pin and pressure cookers are expensive.
Please make sure you bring along your pressure cookers along with additional pressure cooker gaskets, as well as a tawa and a heavy bottom pan to this list. Please also make sure that the cookware you’re bringing is compatible with the induction cooker. Also, include glasses, containers and other utensils in this list.
Gadget to pack for Canada packing?
Let’s jump into our last category which is electronics. If you have a laptop carry it with you and of course you’re going to have a mobile phone carried along with you. However, if you want to buy a laptop or a phone just for the sake of using it here, you can do so.
Then, I would recommend coming here to purchase at least two universal adapters as well as portable chargers. Because the ports are different here, be sure to get extra data cables as well as mobile phone screen guards. They are very expensive here, so make sure you get at least two of them.
So guys this was all about the things that you need to carry while immigrating to Canada.
Let’s quickly jump on to our Second Agenda of the post. These are stuff you don’t need, thus saving some space in your suitcase. One shouldn’t buy winter jackets from your home country unless you belong to a cold country and you know how to dress up for your winters. Second same applies to your winter shoes as well.
I recommend you come here to buy your weather jackets and winter boots point three clothing guys don’t overdo with the clothes boys get only the things that you need for the first three months. Fourth iron box hair dryer straightener curler food processor mixi basically anything electronic is a huge no-no. Fifth blankets let’s not forget about blankets because one it takes up a lot of space and two you can buy them in Canada. Just so you know I have listed down the items based on my experience.
