Top 5 Pakistani Restaurant in Montreal Canada. In this post You will find the Best Montreal Pakistani Restaurants.
If you are looking for halal food in Montreal and desi food these are the must-visit restaurants to visit in Montreal if you want to eat Pakistani food. Here, I will discuss the pros and cons of these places and whether you should visit them or not. But before I begin, let me tell you that this article is based on my experience. Before trying any of them, please decide for yourself which is the best Pakistani restaurant in Montreal before heading to any of them. Let start ….!!
1: 786 Halal Restaurant
In my opinion, Pakistani 786 halal restaurant is number one on my list of the best halal restaurants in Montreal. As this restaurant demonstrates by its name, each and every thing will be halal and will serve you dishes with Pakistani flavor. I visited Halal 786 many years ago and asked for the Pakistani food they were serving exclusively at the time, namely charga (chicken) and Lahore fish (tilapia).
Advantage:
– After eating fish yesterday, I have to say that the quality of this dish is still outstanding. There are three sizes, Small, Jumbo, and Extra Jumbo, but even the Small was pretty big! Also, this is not a dish you would normally find in other South Asian restaurants in Montreal…it’s your own risk to try this More – Very nice takeaway packaging…the fish was packed from a hard plastic bag to a logo plastic box (yes a box)More
Cons:
Prices are relatively high compared to other South Asian restaurants in Montreal, but worth it when the quality/size of other dishes resembles fish.
I would love to come back to Halal 786 and try other dishes.
2: Tandoori Flames
On my list Tandoori Flames is second Pakistani desi best restaurant which you must visit. The warm and kind greeting I received from the owners and staff both the first time and the second time completely astounded me. The cuisine is outstanding in every way. The staff is friendly and timely. for the chance to return.
Cons: According to one Customer, False advertising, taking advantage of Covid. What a terrible owner. They displayed three actual banners promoting 25% off Pickup Orders on their storefront in the spring. When I went to pick up an order in the summer, they refused to apply the 25% discount because only one of the three banners was still hanging from the building. They said the sign person had forgotten and would be back the following week to take it down. They put up new flags on the roof, but that never happened. Even though we ALL have less money now that it is January, it is still visible on their building and website, enticing customers to choose them over other Indian eateries nearby. It is truly abhorrent.
*** Not to mention I ordered 3 items, paid for 3 items, but only received 2 ! An absolute joke.
3: Sana Restaurant
The best Indian and Pakistani cuisine we have yet experienced in Montreal. The staff is helpful and efficient. really affordable costs. The meals were delicious and quite satisfying. It was a lot for two people, so I only bought one appetizer and two entrées. For the following day, there were plenty of leftovers. The boti roll was filling and delicious, and the biryani was excellent. I absolutely adored it and would return. For three large servings, the total cost was under forty dollars. I’ll surely return!
Cons: Review of Customer, First of all, the service was terrible. They are quite bashful and unfriendly. Sorry, but waiters need to be really friendly and delicate at the same time. I can still see finger prints on the forks, spoon, and knife, as well as on the glasses, which were not adequately cleaned. The waitress had to change the water twice, and even after that, it was still nasty. Second, while I am unsure of the quality of the entire meal, I can state with absolute certainty that the beef biryani and the chicken curry were abhorrent. It smelled like soap, which is unusual. Not to mention that the place needed better décor and was really empty. I actually don’t care if it’s a dead one, to be honest.
Last but not least, the place is very dead and needs better decoration. I honestly don’t care if it’s a dead place. I just wanted good food and they didn’t meet my needs. I literally took two bites and left.
NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN!
4: Dera Restaurant
Pakistani cuisine is also served at Dera restaurant in Montreal, which is popular among desis. Each day, many Pakistanis, Indians, Bengalis, or even Canadians visit this restaurant to taste its food. The fact that it’s ranked among Montreal’s top 5 Pakistani restaurants is undeniable. This is halal and cheap restaurant in Montreal Canada.
Customer Reviews ****:
- A very good Pakistani restaurant with Pakistani Indian and Bangladeshi foods. Taste is not accurately authentic but it’s good. It’s Halal.
- Their food is one of the best Pakistani cuisine. Halwa Puri on Saturday and Sunday is very delicious. The only bad thing about it is that it ended sooooo fast.
Cons:
Don’t waste your appetite and your money. Food is disgusting and overpriced. Even pets rarely pay for meat to chew on. It’s just chewy, no meat at all, just very small pieces. The rice was chopped up and the dry stuff seemed reheated a few times, not fresh nor a first time experience, but I always give the locals a chance before leaving a bad review. I called the resto to let them know that this was unacceptable and that she was paying for the food and not her bones before hanging up on her. She said there is nothing I can do for you right now. I tried to explain that I didn’t ask for a refund, just feedback to the chef, but she didn’t listen to me and hung up. Unfortunately, I’m sure this resto has lost its value, quality and most of its customers. Those who post pictures of delicious food are lucky to have delicious food on offer every Blue Moon.
5: Makkah Restaurant
The Makkah restaurant is also a great place to find halal food with Pakistani original taste in Montreal.
Customer Reviews ****:
- puff! good food. We had lamb mint karahi, lamb boti masala, kebab and basmati rice. Everything had great flavor and was balanced with the perfect touch of spice. We’ll be back to discover more on your menu. I loved your food.
- The food was different from traditional cuisine. But the balance of spice and cooking time was perfect.
Cons:
It was okay, disappointing Biryani with no flavor. Lamb tasted funny.
