Faisal Kabab Hut: Number one Pakistani restaurant in Calgary on list according to customer reviews nowadays:
Positive reviews of Customer:
- As someone who has never experienced Pakistani food, this sets the bar very high for other places that serve the same food. I was there with some friends and had the beef kebab, ginger chicken curry More , and ordered chicken biryani. Beef kebab came with an order of naan bread (one per order of kebab), on a bed of sizzling onions in a pan, ginger chicken was big, lots of chicken, feed 3 hungry adults, chicken-biryani More The feed was piled high and was very warm and soft. The staff were very professional and very friendly. Overall, I highly recommend coming here if you haven’t experienced the absolute delights of Pakistani cuisine. If I could rate this restaurant higher, I’m sure I would!
- I have been a regular customer of this place for 9 years. This place is amazing with very tasty and delicious Pakistani food. It really is a gem. The food is great and the prices are cheap. The best dish is chicken ginger.
Negative Review of Customer:
- The place is nothing special, but the food is authentic and flavorful. Loved the chicken karahi, tandoori platter and naan.
- The kababs were undercooked and raw. Recently the food was of poor quality and undercooked. I got diarrhea every time I ate here.
Mirchi: Number two Pakistani restaurant in Calgary on list according to customer reviews nowadays:
Positive reviews of Customer:
- Great Pakistani style food. When I first started walking in, this was a takeaway with a few tables. It has been refurbished and is very comfortable to dine in. The food was excellent and we ate almost everything on the menu. I especially love tikka.
- Naan and butter chicken gravy are two of my favorites at this place. Delicious. Salads are also fresh and delicious.
Negative Review of Customer:
Visited the restaurant for dinner. The waitress seemed bored and annoyed with her job. A small shop with tables. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Sat at a sticky, unwiped table with the waitress just stacking 2 plates, 2 cups and cutlery in the middle of a sticky table. We ordered food and explained that one of us cannot eat dairy. I layered garlic naan on top of my non-dairy order, then said one dish was non-dairy, then said it was, then said it was. She dropped a piece of lettuce with a large hair into the bowl on the table. Additionally, the washrooms could only be used to wash hands, but the cook went to them during meals and was her age. I will probably take a dump. This is a small restaurant and washrooms are about 10 minutes from your table. We were never asked if we wanted a drink. They gave me only water. This place is the strangest. we will never go back. I have never had such bad service.
Zaika Biryani House: Number three Pakistani restaurant in Calgary on list according to customer reviews nowadays:
Positive reviews of Customer:
- This restaurant was recommended by some fellow travelers and was well worth a visit! The value for what you get is second to none and the taste was amazing. The biryani was a little spicier than we would have liked, but the waiter asked about our spice choices, so know that spicy is really spicy! If you're looking for an upscale experience, this is the place. It’s not the place, but It’s a great place to relax and have a cheap and tasty snack after a day in the national park.
- We have tried many restaurants in Calgary! But this place is the best in Calgary! dishes are prepared with dedication and can be tasted in the dishes. Each item has a different aroma, taste and texture! If you want Desi Food in Calgary , go for it!!!
Negative Review of Customer:
- Undercooked rice and meat! Another day we served stale microwaved rice ! service not good . but I like sitting ! I will not recommend it.
- Food: We didn’t like the food, the chicken corn soup was bland and the kebabs didn’t seem to be grilled properly. They didn’t have the item on the menu that we requested so we found a piece of plastic in one of the plates. Service: for water he had to ask twice and had to get up and go get water from the cooler. Atmosphere: Pakistani restaurant. The atmosphere would be better if there were pictures of Pakistan and Pakistani music.
Little Spice: Number fourth Pakistani restaurant in Calgary on list according to customer reviews nowadays:
Positive reviews of Customer:
- Always fresh, always delicious, the lunch special is amazing. Service is always friendly, I love this little gem of a restaurant.
- Having worked as a food and beverage manager in 13 countries for 37 years, I enjoy great food and appreciate standards and consistency. I live in Calgary and love eating authentic flavorful food so I started visiting Little Spice. It's a small restaurant, but it offers great food with friendly service and a charming smile. Very reasonably priced and there is no doubt that this restaurant is run efficiently. It's the right way and I'm happy to recommend Little Spice to the public.
Negative Review of Customer:
- I have had delicious Lamb Biryani and Veg Rogan Josh here in the past. However, this past weekend was very disappointing – both dishes were tasteless. I hope it's an isolated incident.
- Disappointed Have been to this Indian/Pakistani restaurant a few times with my family to find a good one when new restaurants come to Calgary. On one visit, I was impressed with the quality of the food and how well it tasted. However, on our next visit, we were very disappointed as the flavor was completely lacking and the service was a disaster. They burned our grill and took over 30 minutes to serve our dinner. All the dishes we ordered were tasteless. rice field. So we left the restaurant very disappointed and promised to never visit this place again.
Spice Hut: Number fifth Pakistani restaurant in Calgary on list according to customer reviews nowadays:
Positive reviews of Customer:
- Consistently delicious food in substantial portions. Acceptable price. Mutton biryani is my favorite. My wife likes mutton curry and naan. The two of us can eat well there for about 20 Canadian dollars. Perfect for takeout. Ambiance during dining is not the best. The restaurant only has a handful of tables so it gets quite busy at times. I always take out food. The food is really good (although it can be a little spicy for those unfamiliar with all the spices). This takes precedence over other local Pakistani/Indian restaurants. They also have very good lunch specials.
- Spice Hut is my new go-to for Indian takeout. The food is very good and the price is reasonable. Just wished we’d tried this place sooner! If you go at lunchtime, the lunch combo is amazing.
Negative Review of Customer:
- Went to this restaurant last night expecting good Pakistani food. This is my first time visiting Calgary from the US. The food was very average and very rude customer service. We are used to good food in Northern Virginia. This restaurant was Indian-Pakistani fusion, but the meat didn’t seem to be halal.
- I was here with my family and the food stinks and one of the curries also had bugs. It can easily be classified as cheap and unsanitary due to the poor quality of the ingredients, poor quality and East Indian origin.
